Text genre | A ritual text aimed at defending a baby from evil spirit that may cause an illness according to traditional animistic Sora beliefs. Singing accompanies a ritual offering of flour and liquor put in a winnow to a river spirit. In case of auspicious result, the spirit should come in shape of a snake to eat the offering. |
